Too long too long....

I know... I know, its been wayyyyy too long since I last update...

I went back to school and that sucks up like 85% of my energy and with whatever with works etc etc etc... omg...

How time flies, eh ????

And if you guys have been reading my past entries, you will know that I'm not and never a shoe person until recently...

Recently....... I don't know what happened over me but suddenly, I get very intrigued with shoes.... not Charles & Keith or such kinda shoes but... Louboutins and Manolo sorta range of shoes...

For Louboutins, I like just the normal covered toe shoes till I saw this one:



And for Manolos, it would be this pair of mary-jane that I don't have the picture of... its gorgeous... hmmm... ok, I manage to find this open-toe pairs of mary-jane which looks pretty good too !

I was very very bored just now after school while waiting for Mas... I went and shop around Ngee Ann City till my head was spinning cause it was just so damned crowded...

I got conned by the Chanel promoter into getting a stick of lip gloss thats new in their range and a bottle of nail polish, something I fell in love with at first sight. Its in a pastel shade of pink, kinda like french manicure sorta pink with a tinge of glitter in. Its nice ! :P

I know I sound pretty materialistic in this blog but oh well... I just like the finer things in life... Don't ask me why, but I just do... I think life needs a little bit of materialism to propel us forward... Society made us the way we are !!!! *blame it on society*... lol

Anyway, I've been thinking of what to get for myself for my upcoming birthday. I thought of Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag and a matching koala agenda (in pink !) but after a trip to Chanel today and seeing 8/10 girls in Orchard carrying the Neverfull, I've decided I'm not gonna get that bag anymore. I'm just gonna get the koala agenda with my initial emboss on.

Actually, it was a decision between a pair of Louboutins, Neverfull, Miumiu or Monogramme agenda. And I've decided on the latter. With no matching pen and a 3rd party (prolly from Prints) agenda refills. Anything but Filofax refill. I figured its too late for me to get the official Louis Vuitton refill cause its already April and its expensive ! So I'm just gonna get something to compliment the agenda. Prolly black color paper or something like that.

My grand vision was to have the agenda and the Neverfull (cause I need a stylish bag for school) but damned... its just too many people having the same thing ! *frowns*

Actually come to think about it... I still kinda need a bag for school, I've been togging my old and dirty Esprit canvas tote around and it makes me look quite geeky. I kinda need something to match my outfit, like casual chic. I love my Esprit tote cause its big enough for me to dump a lot of things in but sometimes, the color just clash with what I'm wearing and my casual chic look of the day.

Soooo... I've signed up for like a Degree course... double major... 2 years ! 2 freaking years ! I've been having bridging course on some stuffs that I've never learned before in my Diploma course and others where I've already know (therefore, I think the school is just trying to earn my money). Anyway, its tedious man... total hard work this stupid bridging. I mean imagine Thu: 7pm-10pm. Sat & Sun: 9am-5pm. I mean its like I'm working for 7 days straight man ! And I have like 4 units STRAIGHT ! That's like 28 days of non-stop working ! *sighs*

What to do... I didn't study properly when I was young so now its payback time ! Grrrr.... And for the next 2 years !!!!! *faints*

But by then, I will have a degree and I forsee life would be better for me then... hehehehe... Maybe I can have a closet-full of Manolos and Louboutins in 5 years time :P

Hey hey hey, don't blame me... Society, remembers ????? Hehehe....

Sooooo.... yeah, I'm tired now... I'm bored and tired cause I don't seem to have a life anymore...

So I'm gonna go take shower and rest for a while... stone for a bit and go to bed... I still have class tomorrow... *yawns*

Eye... Flyer and now Great Wheel ?

It has been reported that China (blasted country !) is coming up with a bigger ferris wheel which will be launched in early 2009.

Attached is a picture of the comparison between a normal ferrish wheel, London Eye, Singapore Flyer and the dreaded Beijing Great Wheel (how original !)

I'm not all excited over the Singapore Flyer actually cause to me, its just another ferris wheel, though on a bigger scale.

I'm more excited about the opening of ION... hehehehehe... And I have this very very strong feeling that Juicy Couture gonna open a flagship boutique there... I'm keeping my fingers cross and really hoping its true !

Boutique Bus ?

I boarded a boutique bus today... lol...

I thought it was a new concept for bus till I saw the Nokia ad all over then did I realized that its a marketing campaign from Nokia.

Just in case you're wondering which number the bus is, its 156.

It kinda shocked me a little bit cause the interior was utterly different. They practically pimped the bus !!!!

Instead of rows of chairs facing the driver, it has just a single row of chairs from the beginning to the end of the bus, so the passengers are sitting facing each other.

And the best part is, in between and near the end of the bus, it wasn't just seats anymore. It was like an oval cupped white leather chair !

It has red suede ceiling, JBL speakers all over, white leathered chairs and there were 2 bar-like chairs facing the window with a little table ! There was a poster of a bartender-looking guy facing the seats...

I find the concept really cool ! I mean if a company has HUGE A&P budget to play with, the imagination for the marketing team is unlimited ! And I definitely wouldn't mind working for a company like that.

Come to think about it, Nokia's advertisements have always been pretty impressive and extravagant.

You see, that's the thing with local companies I find. They stinge on their marketing budget. They think that by having their products placed in major stores etc, the job of "marketing" a product is complete. As long as they make money from it, ooohh yeah, they did a good "marketing" job. And stops there.

They always worry about their sales but totally neglect the whole marketing part and forgotten that sales and marketing goes hand in hand together. If you've got good marketing campaign, the sales will come naturally. But if there's sales and the brand is not that strong, its just a short-term gain. Over the long haul, you're losing out. Cause by then, you just need to rely on your promotions to make money and when you do not have any promotions or whatsoever, nobody will buy cause to them, the brand is nothing. No recognition there. No sense of self-fulfillment in getting a prestigious good, although the price can by sky-high.

Nothing, nada, zilch.

But still, they continue to stinge.... *sighs*

Teeth

There's gonna be a new movie coming out called Teeth, it will be a limited release in America and it has the lamest story plot and... oh well, overall, its just stupid... I had a huge laugh over it...

This is the sypnosis of the new movie titled "Teeth":

Her task is made even more difficult by her bad boy stepbrother Brad's increasingly provocative behavior at home. A TOOTHED VAGINA ?!?!?!?!? ROFLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.......

How stupid can a plot be ? Whoever is in the movie must be desperate for a role....

A brush with terrorism...

OMG... I had a near-death (sorta) experience today... And it has gotta do with terrorism !!! Meeps !!!

Took a bus to work today and do you guys remember where the old ticket machine used to be ? Where we gotta use the filmsy bendy metallic ticket and slot it into this machine that looks like a jackpot machine and press for whichever price it is that you want.

So since we have ez-link, they took out the machine and it just leave a space there. And there there are 2 seats by the side of the machine which is facing the opposite and not the front of the bus.

Therefore, I took the seat which is just beside the space.

Sooooo.... nothing happens.... I was staring into space cause I ran out of books to read and listening to iPod while just staring into space...

Then suddenly ! A bangladesh board the bus, wearing a checkered shirt... and he dumped a huge and puffy haversack on the empty space where the old ticket machine used to be and LEFT !!!!

He just dumped the haversack there and WALKED OFF to the exit of the bus !!!!!

A few people just glanced through it without any red light going off in their head ! They acted as if its perfectly NORMAL for a guy to just board a bus, dumped a huge and puffy looking haversack on an empty space and then proceed towards the exit !!!!

I just stared at the haversack while my brain was thinking:
a)Run off the bus now while staring at everybody with large terrified eyes
b)Run to the bus driver and announce in a rather loud and terrified voice that some Bangladesh just left the haversack there and ran off
c)Be calm and collected and get off the bus PRONTO

While I was deciding what to do and be absolutely terrified that the bag might just blow up any second, this little girl of Poly age board the bus. She looked at the haversack and she thought was mine till she saw my own haversack on my lap and flashed me a look... I just flashed back my look...

So everything was still calm while I was still thinking (I know, its too long, the thinking part, but I was seriously thinking !)... Then the Poly girl flashed me another look.. And then I just told her, "This guy left it ! That guy at the back, he came up, just dumped it here and walked to the exit ! What if its a bomb ?!?!" while pointing to the Bangladesh at the exit.

Then she picked up the courage (Bless her !) and told the bus driver. While I was at a near panic stage now and grabbing my belongings and going to jump through the glass if need be when she came back and told me, "The uncle said the Bangladesh is always like that"

My heart stopped a teeny weeny bit and I was like, "oh okay".

The moment I saw the haversack which brought me back to Earth from my spacing out, I sms-ed Mas and Tiff. Tiff was still sleeping I presumed cause she was on her annual leave so I wasn't really expecting a quick reply from her. Whereas Mas just said I was being totally drama RIGHT till the VERY END after the whole bomb episode !

Grrr... I wasn't being drama ! It was totally scary !!! Like seriously !!! Everybody agreed with me !!! My mom, my colleagues and Tiff (Eventually, after she woke up)... It was such a close call. Phew !

I could have died up there ! And gotten blown into bits with nothing left cause the puffy haversack was just right beside moi... It looks as if it was being stuffed with like 20 TNTs (those in Roadrunners cartoon) or something.

What a close call... What a close call...

I'm so glad to still be alive ! :D
