What a total disappointment...

I just finished reading this book titled "HRH" by Danielle Steel.



Andddd.... it was a total total TOTAL disappointment.

I've read a few of her books and I've always like her... she always wrote sappy love stories, kinda like Nicholas Sparks. I've got her Granny Dan, which I find it absolutely romantic and sad.

Soooo.. when I saw this book and it was at Borders under the 3-for-2 category, I just snapped it. Its a story about a modern day princess from Liechtenstein who hates who she is, volunteered to be a Red Cross personnel, fell in love yada yada yada...

And guess what ?!?!?! The plot was so-so and I swear, I've never seen this phrase "tears rolled down her cheeks" so many freaking times in a book in my life before !

Its like, every 3 page, there will be a "with tears rolled down her cheeks"... or "she has to listen to her father" or "its her duty" and things along that line being so repetitive in a book before. It was a total waste of time to read that book and I couldn't wait for it to finish.

It was so so so so so so boring... I doubt I'll ever get her book again... *makes a face*

I mean seriously, which was the last horrible book that you've read ? I do welcome comments... lol

What's up with the kids nowadays ?!?!

I swear when I have kids, I will send them for etiquette class man !!!!

My company posted some newspaper ad to hire some staffs that we need. And you cannot believe the kind of shitty phonecalls I get !

Since my position is B.S.B.H (bao sua bao hai)Executive, naturally my mobile phone number is being published in the national newspaper. Therefore, I've been submitted to the fate of being a walking telephone operator of sorts, on a WEEKEND !!!!

First 10 calls were fine... I was still pretty nice, directed them to the correct number to call cause I'm not in charge of the position that they are looking for. 11 calls and up and its getting on my nerves, this phone business.

I mean can you imagine, I'll be at Louis Vuitton and then my phone ring... when you pick it up, its some human being that can't speak very good english looking for a job, so you gotta speak chinese to them, which kinda makes me look like I'm from some cheena country or something. Which to me, is my greatest nightmare.

By the 13th phonecall, you start to get ridiculous phonecalls from students who can't hold a decent conversation. And after each phonecall, I wonder are they retarded or what ? If they don't have much qualification (which is quite impossible in Singapore), I can understand... But if they told me what they are doing right now (in school) and the conversation is so sucky, I wonder how they are going to survive in the future, I mean in the working world.

Example #1:
Boy: "Hello, I saw your ad"
Me: "Oh, which position are you looking for ?"
Boy: "Promoter"
Me: "Ah.. okay, just wanna let you know that its a permanent full time position, not a part-time or temporary position, is that okay with you ?"
Boy: "Yes"
-Silence-
Me: "Soooo... how old are you ?"
Boy: "19"
Me: "And may I know what are you doing now ?"
Boy: "Waiting for results"
Me: "And what will you be doing after you get your results ?"
Boy: "Going back to school"
Me: "SO THAT MEANS YOU ARE NOT LOOKING FOR A PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION JOB !!!!"
Boy: "Oh..."
Me: "Thank you and goodbye !!!!!"

Example #2, which I bet my ass its a call from an ah beng:

By then, I know that he's a small ah beng fart

By now, my blood is boiling like nobody business
Me: "THAT MEANS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FREAKING PART-TIME JOB AND THIS JOB IS NOT FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE SOOOOOOO UNDERAGE !"
And that idiot just hang up my phone, can't blame him actually cause I sounded like a total bitch... hahaha

Just send shivers down my spine and I told myself my kids will never be so idiotic.

So at the end, I managed to secure 6 interviewees over a span of 2 days and guessed what ?!?!

Only 1 showed up !!!! NONE even bother to give me a call and tell me that they can't make it due to some lame excuse. I mean I totally understand the lame excuse part if they don't want the job anymore and its just too embarrassed to tell me the truth. But to just be a no-show, that's utterly rude !

Grrrr.... Guess I can't be a HR, eh ? hehehehe

To all HR out there: kowtow to you for being able to withstand such situations :D

Geez... since when it became a trend to have a MiuMiu bag hanging off your hand ?!?!?!

Lately, I've been noticing quite an amount of human beings having a MiuMiu bag and my curiousity perks...

And it doesn't help that one day Tiff told me their packaging is all pink ! As in if you get a MiuMiu stuffs, they packed it nicely in a pink box or something and it comes in a lovely shade of pink paper bag !!!! *squeals in excitement*

Not that I can afford one now but ya know.. it doesn't hurts to just fantasize about it !!! hehehehe...

So, I went online and snoop around and saw that.. hey ! a MiuMiu bag is not THAT expensive afterall... I saw two at barneys.com which I like and its only say... USD $1155, which seriously is not THAT expensive considering the fact that MiuMiu is sorta under Prada etc...

Caught Vanessa Hudgens having one that looks pretty good too... very casual and chic... nothing chichi...

A new addition to the family (albeit a temporary one !) :P

We've got a new puppy in the house !!!!

Although he's not a puppy anymore but Titus looks like a giant beside him. Lol..

Its a chihuahua and we're dog-sitting it on behalf of Mas' mom's friend. Its a fierce little thing and I believed it has earn a Bachelor in manja-ing.

Attached is a picture of Titus and him at naughty corner cause they fought. The little thing sure as hell is one fierce dog ! I mean you couldn't really gauge from the size but geez... it is fierce, trust me on that... it tried to attach my poor Titus. And Titus is just like this big teddy bear, always looking at the chihuahua named Bambi with big curious eyes. I bet he thinks Bambi is his new toy or something... hehehe...

I want to be rich,so....

I can dress better !

I seriously believe that rich people dress better simply because they can afford to get something enquisite looking from famous designers.

Not that non-designers stuffs are ugly or something but designers wear just have that touch about them that will bring out the best in you !

When you have money, you got bigger budget to get better and more unique looking clothes. When you have money, you can get people to do your make-up so you can look stunning 24/7, even going to the supermaket can be one glam event !

I read from somewhere before that before she met and married Tom Cruise, she's one damned frugal lady. She don't dare to splurge on anything and is always looking and calculating her purchase. Despite being a star (though not a major one) in her own right, she was pretty calculative when it comes to her shopping. She loves to shop but she's careful with her money.

And then she met, fell in love, have kid and married Tom Cruise and everything just change o-v-e-r-n-i-g-h-t. All she does nowadays are shopping + looking good with Suri in her arms, in different outfits and with different shoes and different bags. She do not look like an Ah Soh at all ! I mean in Singapore, normally one looks pretty much like an Ah Soh after having a kid.

Overnight,she has money to spare ! And not even hers to begin with ! Read before that she spent over 10 or 100k at one shop in just a few hours before. I mean wow ! And what has she got to be afraid of ? Tom Cruise did not sign a pre-nup with her and beside that, if anything happens, she has absolutely nothing to lose. Tom has agreed to left her a few millions here and there... money for Suri here and there etc etc etc...

And with that kind of money, she's looking more like a lady rather than a girl-next-door which was always her reputation since Dawson's Creek days. Smokey eyes, bob-hair, Armani wedding gown, big diamond ring, sharp chin, IT bags... in fact the whole demeanor of hers has changed !

I cannot resist.. its not a trend for me.. I've love the color pink since young.. and gotta change my favourite color to blue for a while cause one of the guys from Backstreet Boys like blue... (I was obssess with them !)

Anyway.. I've decided to renounce my love of the color pink.. and naturally, when I see stuffs that's in pink... I can't resist but ooh and aah about it...

Its a Dior clutch... I'm quite sceptical about this shade of pink.. they have a black version which is not as cool... but generally, I still find it pretty nice looking though I'm not really a clutch person...


and last but not least, the ultimate item on my christmas list for this year and its by Tiffany & Co. my jaws literally dropped to the ground when I saw it the other day while just generally surfing around their site...

I'm back with a BANG !!!!

I'm BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After more than a month long hiatus, I'm finally back.. back ohhhh back...

To kickstart off with my first entry, I'm gonna introduced you guys to something that I saw which is absolutely absolutely cool and totally ME !!!!!!!!

I was walking around Toys R Us the other day after visiting one of my dealer at United Square and I saw the most fab game EVER !!! And I really mean EVER !!!!

Take a look at it, man:





Its a PINK monopoly and its called Boutique Edition !!!!!! *screams*

It comes in a pink fabric box... and its just totally awesome ! And instead of paying tax and fines, you pay mobile bills... instead of community chest, you get IM or SMS, instead of property names, you get names of boutiques... instead of house and hotels, you get shops and malls in pink and purple !

The counters are little shopping stuffs and everything can be tucked and keep inside the enquisite looking pink box !!!!!

When I saw it, I immediately took a picture and send to Mas and Tiff... Tiff said its cool and Mas said "babe, don't waste money", which I pretend I didn't see anything (though I haven't get the game yet.. hehehe)

Anyway, then I was telling Tiff... I could get it and in the future, my daughter can play with her daughter and Sheeli's daughter and we both agreed that its gonna be so cool cause we could meet up on Sunday.. have brunch while our kids play in the garden with the pink monopoly that we passed it down etc etc etc... When I told Mas about it.. He just rolled his eyes at me and mumbles.... "you guys are soooo bor liao"

I think its pretty brainy for toy manufacturer to come up with something thats targetting at girls, knowing that girls will definitely fall for it if its in pink and it got little flowers etc around. And then they will pester their parents to get it for them for christmas.

You guys must be wondering what the hell was I doing at Toys R Us, eh ? hehehe...

Ok ok, let me share little secret with you... *whispers whispers*

When I was young, I always have this secret wish of being locked up in Toys R Us after they've closed their shop and I could play with ALL the toys in the shop without having to buy any one of them... hehehe... Soooo... I'm the happiest when I'm in Toys R Us when I was young and being in there, just bring happy vibes back to me.. And I totally needed some the other day cause I was just too darn tired and low morale from work... So it was a great morale boost ! hehehe

I've taken quite a few pictures when I was MIA... So I could write some interesting stuffs, I guessed... Since now that I'm back and all... hehehe ...

The name of the Guess brown faux-leather bag that I posted in my earlier post is called Corona. (reminds me of the fried chicken rice stall...lol)

And I got an sms from Tiff, she said "Eh I thought of getting the guess bag that u showed me. Together get? i need to calculate budget though"

You see... there's this wierd thing with me... when I see something nice... and contemplates on getting it... and if a good friend of mine said "wanna get it together ?!" or something along the line... 9/10 cases, I WILL get it and we WILL get it together. *sighs*

Guess I succumb to peer pressure that way... hehehehhehe...

So yeah... I think there is a high possiblity that I might be getting it... Grrr... geez....

So I can afford to buy my VW Beetle in Pink with Pink dashboard and very dark brown leather seats + Focal Acoustic sound system.

I've seen a Beetle in Pink before at Mas' old place and it was gorgeous... but the driver is... errr... how should I put this delicately ? eeerrrmmm... Think Miss Piggy driving her pink car... :P

And then the second item I will buy is this a Chanel Paris-Biarritz in black I think or something like that.

For those that do not know how it looks like.

Then next, I'll get my dream agenda that cost like $595 WITHOUT the refills, which is another like $90-$130... and the matching ballpoint pen ($395)... :(
Its sooooooo gonna match my Neverfull... the one that I'll be getting I think...

Cause I got a mini HL in multicolore monogramme as christmas present from Mas 2 years ago and it got discolored, when I send it back for servicing, they told me that they will replace a new one for me which unfortunately ran out of stock and will never be back and they offered me a refund voucher instead. And I think I will use it on the Neverfull cause I need something big and its not THAT expensive.

And with spare cash, I'll get this !

And whatever you think, DON'T underestimate this little Hello Kitty charm bracelet.. it cost a whopping $2900 USD !!!!!!!!!! Its made of little diamonds and sapphires etc etc etc... I mean I'll only get this with spare cash cause I think I'm so *roll eyes for effect* over that Hello Kitty stage... hehehhe

And the upcoming item is something that I'm seriously contemplating getting it.. its like $219.90 and its from Guess (didn't know Guess is able to come up with something that looks pretty cool)

When I saw, carry this bag around my arm and pranced and posed in front of the mirror, an image of me carring this bag, with skinny jeans, a nice top and the BIG Fendi sunglasses that I saw the other day just popped into my head... and oh, not forgetting the ballet flats ! *winks*

And today after work, I popped by Guess at Ngee Ann City and saw that they have it in Ivory color too.. the ivory one looks pretty Miu Miu... They have it in a lighter shade of brown and red too.. red is the ugliest, follows by the lighter shade, then ivory and finally the dark brown.

Actually the ivory one looks pretty cool too, if I've got enough cash, I'll prolly grab two... But now, I can only contemplate getting 1. I'm kinda waiting for some sale to start or something like that and all along hoping that nobody's taste would be as good as mine to target this bag... :P

I feel so so soooo sorry for Britney. I really do !

I mean she used to be soooo good and so slim and all and now after 2 kids, she've ballooned and her performance was quite a disappointment :(

I caught it online via a link that Mas sent me which took a long time to download and it was pretty awful.. It's not like any of her old performance at all. I think she got the jitterbugs and was extremely nervous cause it was pretty bad.

Some critics blamed it on Sarah Silverman for making remarks about her kids being "beautiful mistakes" which are soooooo mean (damned her !) where Britney heard it and that was what affected her performance. Hey ! I might which mother wouldn't feel affected when your children are being called mistakes, beautiful or not.

I've heard her new single "Gimmme More" and I kinda like it, I find it pretty cool... I mean as in its Britney's style and all, I seriously think that she's able to make a comeback.

I wish Britney all the luck and strength to go through it.

The Secret @ China 1

It was Mas' cousin and 2 other friends birthday yesterday and they decided to have a mini celebration dinner at this place called House@ Dempsey Hill.

Its a very interesting place cause its almost like a theme restaurant, like they have a glass room and they've got like cameras displayed beside the door and the name of the room is "Kubrick", as in Stanley Kubrick etc...

Decoration is pretty cool and they have quirky uniforms for the waitresses/waiters which made all of them like runaway school kids and interesting toilet sign. Think "Cockadoodle" for Gents and "Pusstcat" for Ladies. LOL...

Food was pretty good, something new... I was pretty skeptical about it initially cause they have fruits in most of the dishes and I don't like the idea of having fruits in my food. I mean, slices of jamaican roast pork with grilled mango slices etc... Ya get the picture... But they did prove me wrong and it was pretty good..

Mas ordered some Prawns Cappelini dish and it was good too... Its just a place that is good to chill out and all and I'm definitely dragging the girls and Mas back with me there next time.

I've told the girls about it but they were whining that Dempsey is a hard place to get to blah blah blah... But I'm sure I'll be able to drag them... Hehehehe... Hey ! They're my chummies ! They wouldn't leave me all alone !

I mean we've done more worst and hilarious stuff together... I mean Tiff and I used to wash our hair in our office toilet just cause we wanna test out the new shampoo and conditioner that I bought ! I'm sure nothing could beat THAT ! lol..

Soooo anyway the tab for the dinner came up to be like $989 and some cents... I mean a freaking 9-8-9 !!!! I nearly fell out of my chair but I think it's pretty reasonable cause there were like 20 more or so of us and each dish is about 20+ and we get free shoulder massage.

Apparently, this House place offers spa and mani+pedi and they were trying to promote, so they sent a bunch of people down to massage us... It was pretty good minus the part where she touched my neck. I'm damned ticklish around my neck area and I ALWAYS lugi if I go for shoulder massage cause I would just curl up and giggle my head off.

We took lots of photos and I hope the cousin will pass some to Mas so I can post it here or something...

Anyhow... after that dinner, we went to this place call China 1 and this is where my REAL story unfolds...

Remember the book called The Secret that I talked about ?!?!?!

I practiced a little exercise from the book called: Ask, Believe and Receive.

I started with something small and asked for a shiny $1 coin and I believed that I will get it and I DID get it !!

Exciting, isn't it ?!?!?!

I asked for it in the morning while accompanying Mas playing golf and I belived that I will have it and I just waited... And during the day, I did occasionally (not much) reaffirms my belief that I will get it and subsequently, it was just cast somewhere in my thought cause it was a pretty hectic day for my yesterday.

So last night at this place called China 1. Mas ordered a bottle of water which cost like $9 bucks (daylight robbery !!!!) and he gave a $10 to this girl who is like the waitress there. He gave it without knowing that he will be getting any change back cause I guessed its pretty normal to treat that $1 as a tip. And ALL along, he was the one that has been conversing with the waitress and not me.

And after some time... while swaying to the music and being a babysitter to some girls that got a bit tipsy from the birthday drinks, I felt someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around.....

*drum rolls*

*rolling for a while more*

It was the waitress girl... She was standing there and I was quite puzzled until I looked down and saw that she was holding a check folder book and she mumbled something which I couldn't really hear it except something like "Do you want it ?" or something like that... It was really loud and noisy and I couldn't hear her but what caught my attention was what lies ON the check folder...

It wassss.....

.... a $1 coin !!!! And at THAT moment when she opened the folder, there was this bright disco-light sorta light shining down on it and IT WAS A SHINY $1 COIN !!!!! MYYYY SHINY $1 COIN !!!! THE ONE THAT I BELIEVED THAT I WILL GET IT !!!

I was like ... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO flabbergasted and my jaws nearly dropped, I turned around, hold up the coin and stared at Mas... He was like, "Babe ! your shiny $1 coin !!!! LAWS OF ATTRACTION !!!!" and both of us just stared at each other, utterly and totally amazed.

Cause I did told Mas about it after he finished his golf about my little exercise and he got that skeptical look in his eye and afte what happened last night, I think he totally believes me now...

Till today, now, at this moment in time while typing this blog entry, I'm still very very amazed by it.. like TOTALLY... I mean.. WOW...

Nothing more I can say except for WOW... W-O-W... WOW... WOW.... WOW... WOW....

Lusting after beauty products

I think the female hormones in me is finally awakening or whatsoever... I'm like in a transistion and morphing now or something.

I cannot believe that I'm actually interested in beauty products now... like the whole hoopla about cosmetics and facial mask (my body shop thingy is not counted).

So I've been surfing around and saw this brand called Kate Somervillewho is a famous dermatologist in the USA and some stars have been using this face mask thingy called "Kate in a Jar".. its like $74 bucks US and it sounds pretty alright IF it really does work and I'm quite tempted to try and order it via VPost !!!
Even the jar looks cute, eh ? hehehe...

And the next on my list which if it smells good, I'll prolly get it.. like 80% will be getting it is this: Isn't the bottle COOL ?!?!?! I totally dig that old ancient aristocratic look !!! Hehehe... I'm sooooooooo gonna get it if it smells good ! :P

Now I've got skin and scent taken care off... its off to cosmetics now, I guessed :P

I guessed I just have to say that I'm starting to be a fan of Bobbi Brown for their über natural look... Gotten a few of their lipsticks and glosses and I love it ! So I'll be getting their whole range reallll soon... hiak hiak hiak

I'm a witness

I saw something stealing a bread-bun today !!!!

I was ta-baoing a cup of Teh Aliah from this Indian stall over at my Alphabet (ABC) market today and I saw this junkie looking malay guy stealing a bread-bun !!!

Ya know those buns that you can find in those cake shop... say 6 red beans/kaya/cheese/blueberry/peanut bun in a packet and before you can eat it, you have to peel it off the rest sorta bread-buns ?

So this malay guy already peeled one and hide it inside this toaster-like box to keep curry puffs warm (normally can see the toaster-like thingy at mama shops) and then he paid the uncle for his cup of teh aliah and a bread-bun and then when the uncle turned around to make my cup of teh aliah, he slide open the toaster-like box and take out the other bun !!!!

I was quite shocked and the uncle saw it !!! But he didn't panic... after he made and gave me mine teh aliah, he walked over to where the malay guy is sitting and...

That's where I left... lol... I didn't stay and witnessed what happened... I saw the uncle talked to him and I can only imagine 2 scenarios:

1) the bad guy has gobbled down 1 bread-bun in supersonic speed and pretend with his mouthful of bun and mumbling to the uncle that he didn't steal any while pointing to his 1 bun on the plate.
or
2) he owed up and pay the uncle

I bet the junkie-looking guy must be pretty poor I think, I mean its just a bread-bun... not THAT expensive.... And of all stalls, he gotta prey on the uncle... cause the uncle is like old and he can't walk properly, so its quite poor thing either way.

Guess I'm lucky to be able to afford a meal without much problem.

Apparently, it's a life-transforming book that she saw it being featured on Oprah and she bought it and trust me.. her life changed.

The Tiff that I know 2 years ago and the Tiff that I know now is ... well almost continent apart... And she reads the book now as if its her bible and chants stuffs off the book like a mantra and I finally decided to get a copy for myself yesterday.

I'm just through about 3/4 of Chapter 1 and I can't say much now suffice to say that its a very very interesting book and I'm slowly adopting the lesson in Chapter 1.

And nuh uh, I'm not gonna tell you what it is.. the book is quite expensive man !!! So if you wanna know what is it about, go get it yourself... I'm not gonna share... *bleah* hiak hiak hiak...

But seriously, I think this is the first self-help book that might work on me... I got my first self-help book titled "7 habits of highly effective teens", which was given to me by my aunty cause I think she figured I was defective or something... hahaha... After sooooooo many years, I still have not finish reading the book and I've yet to practice the exercise being recommended in the book cause I just don't have the self-discipline to do it.

But this book: The Secret is different.. You DON'T have to do much.. Its all in your MIND... *plays Twilight Zone music in background*

I've already put my name in the waiting list for Cupcake Workshop Level 1 at Shermay's Cooking School. As the course is very popular, the class that I've got my name on is for next year.

You can check out the website, its very cool. A little bit expensive for a 3.5 hrs class but I find that its quite worth it cause it teaches you the basic of making a cupcake and macaron and you can just modify it yourself after that, the decorations on it look awesome too and for $129 nett, we get to look at demo+hands on+12 cupcakes to bring home+recipe pack+illustrated cupcake decoration guide... why not ? I find the price pretty reasonable, sorta :P

And when I say the cupcakes looks awesome, I seriously mean that... I mean check this out:

The pastry chef name is Joycelyn Shu and above is her work.. I mean isn't that gorgeous ?!?!?! I find it absolutely absolutely Gorgeous with a capital G !!!!

But of course we wouldn't be baking anything THAT intricate but its still nice nonetheless, you're able to view the kind of cupcakes that we'll be baking at Shermay's Cooking School

I simply simply CAN'T believe that this is TRUE !!!

There have been rumours that Wentworth Miller (the lead from Prison Break) is a gay and well I try to ignore it though it does seems like he is one.

Was scrolling through Perez Hilton today and saw this piece of article on him that sorta confirmed that he is a gay ?! I mean with pictures and all...

All along its like just rumours and this pictures might just add to rumours though I still hope that it's not true cause its like.. SOOOOO wasted !!!!!

I mean he's sooooo gorgeous and all and he's a gay ?!?!?!

Long-long time ago, I was at Yoshinoya, Bugis and standing behind me was this quite good-looking guy with his girlfriend... and my heart nearly popped out of my mouth when I heard the girlfriend speak.

sHE spoke in a very very low male voice and says... "what do you wanna have, daaarrrlling ?" in a very try-to-be-sexy kinda drawl.

She was actually a HE !!!!!!!! Meeps !!!!! How gross is that ?!?!??!

Found this in our handicapped toilet...

Cause recently, somebody has been smoking in both the handicapped and female toilets (mostly the handicapped) and whoever did that NEVER opens the door to let the smoke out... so whenever you walk in, its like fumagation in there ! Which is damned gross...

I would run out each time, coughing and gasping for air...

Soooo... Yeah... I'm sure by now you would have figured that it was me who printed it out... Clever you !

So I was ultra pissed the day before yesterday that I marched back to the office, typed it in words and found a pic off the net to complete it and paste it on the mirror in the toilet...

And I guessed it WORKS ! Cause we didn't encounter any fumagation for the WHOLE day yesterday !! Not even a trace of stale smoke... It works !! We were elated !!!

Hahaha... And yesterday, someone has shift the position of my little poster to the back of the door so whoever is sitting on the toilet bowl to smoke will be able to see the poster... We kinda suspect that it might be the cleaning lady who repositioned it... Anyhow, I'm just glad that the poster works...

I'm gonna give it a few more days to see if it will stay before printing a "Thank You" and replaced it...

Don't read this, Tiff !!!!

Tiff, Don't say I didn't warn you !!!!

I cried when I was reading the last of the 7th Harry Potter series...

Loads died in this book but the only one character that died and made me cry was Dobby, the house-elf.

For those that have read Harry Potter since the first book will understand Dobby's background... About how he was actually an elf that was being mistreated and Harry managed to save him and eventually free him by giving him a pillowcase/a pair of socks (or something like that, I couldn't really remember)

He's not evil like Kreacher and he's faithful to Harry and his friends... and when at the end, he died while trying to save Harry and his friends, I cried heaps... Especially when everybody gave Dobby a piece of clothing to clothe him properly before his burial, when Harry dug a hole manually and buried Dobby. It really tugged my heart strings. The one that made me sniffed the hardest was when Harry picked a white stone nearby and use it as a tombstone and carved some words on it with his wand, the words are "Here lies Dobby, the Free elf"... I sobbed...

I can just imagine Dobby (in the movie) wearing his pillowcase and being so faithful to Harry & Co. and then died while trying to save them... its just too sad for me to handle... Even thinking about it now makes me go sniffly all over again.

Dobby is so brave, despite being the lowest in class in the Wizard World and facing one of the crulest and most evil Death Eater, he displayed courage and bravery in order to save Harry & Co.

I was extremely surprised to see that he came to Harry & Co's rescus and extremely gutted when he have to die and nobody can bring him back to life. It was just too sad for me to handle... :(

I didn't even cry when Dumbledore died.

Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows is a very good book. That's all I'm gonna say... *sniffs*

Aviator

I soooooo admire those who can pull off wearing an Aviator glasses.

I can't wear Aviator without looking like Power Ranger or fly or something. Perhaps a mosquito even.

Mas will always end up laughing at me if I try on an Aviator in any store.

The reason for me not able to pull it off might be cause of the shape of my face, its roundish and not very big and aviators are like... big... so... it kinda like covers 3/4 of my face each time I wear something big...

*sighs* I so admired Jessica Alba for being able to pull it off...



I've also managed to find out that the Aviator that she's wearing is from A|X.. which I think I'm going to the store and try... I mean *shrugs* who knows, prolly it might fits me or something... hehehhee

Sony VAIO in PINK !

Its not the OLD one.. they came up with a new model calles CR11GH/P and it comes in our (Tiff & me) shade of pink !!!!!

Tiff said she saw it at the Sony shop here and told me about it and we were both pretty ecstatic about it... its like $1999 !!!!

Well... ya know, now is like.. either a MacBook or this VAIO... MacBook is cheaper and well to me, it would be something new for me... like a new toy for me to explore cause the last time I touched a Mac was when I was a kid and I totally forgotten how to operate on a Mac now.

And I know if you get a Mac in the states, you can actually modify it.. there's this website www.colorwarepc.com that lets you customized your laptops etc etc.. and I found this shade of pink which I really like on the mac... but its like freaky expensive to get it done, so it kinda sucks :(

Sooooo... this could be like the substitute for it but I'm suck of using Window.. so... yeah...

Shiloh looks pretty horrible... Violet doesn't look that cute either... And Zahara has a permanent shock look on her face... so... yeah.. Suri is still the cutest !

Damned am I a blonde or what ?!

We were talking about Denmark in office last week when I just blurted out, "what does people in Denmark calls ? Denmarkean ????"

I DID ! I DID ! OMG... That was soooooo humiliating... Everybody in the office was like.. "Its Danish !!! or Danes !!! Not Denmarkean !!!" and burst out laughing...

I'm not a plastic bag - Part II

Saw a woman carrying the bag yesterday when I was at Takashimaya and I think she's from Hong Kong... cause she was speaking to her boyfriend in cantonese and the accent is the Hongky kinda accent, very authentic and different...

But boy does her dress sense is baddddddd... So the bag looks like a waste on her... it just looks like a normal canvas tote around her shoulder and nothing glamorous at all..

I guess she belongs to the kinda category of human where no matter how expensive their dressings are or how expensive a bag they are carrying, they're never able to pull it off cause everything would just look like they're imitation on them...

Not that I'm being ultra mean or anything but seriously, there are such people around... and then there are the other group of people where they can be wearing imitations from head to toe and they still look like a million bucks !

I hope I belong to the latter (not that I buy imitation !)... if worst come to worst, belonging in the center (thin red line) is fine with me too... hehehhehe

Hi, my name is Sidney and I'm an addict....

Muahahaha.....

Went Brotzeit last week and had a feast... Well though its just a pork knuckles and salad, its still too much for us and it never cease to amaze me on how we used to eat.

Back when we first got together, we ate like crazy... Don't believe me ? Read on to find out what we ordered from Thai Express:

1) Pineapple fried rice
2) Green curry
3) Seafood tom yum soup
4) Some fried tofu with thai dressing
5) Prawn omelette
6) Kang kong
7) White rice

and it was just the 2 of us... we were seated at the 4 seaters place and the food naturally occupied both tables and well even the waiter that serve us kinda gulped when he saw what we ordered though. I bet we left with their jaws dropping 10 miles that night cause we actually polished off all the food.

Anyway back to being an addict... Brotzeit sells the bes beer beside Brewerkz... I mean its quite different cause the beers that Brotzeit sells are directly from Paulaner in Germany which is unlike like the Paulaner brewery at Millenia Walk where they brew their own beer. I love their mango beer !!!! Whereas at Brewerkz, I like their Golden Ale... its ale man !!!! Feel so medieval drinking ale... lol...

Water Donut Game

We were cheated...

The girls and I caught The Simpsons last Friday and we were so excited that they're giving away this free Water Donut Game with each popcorn combo purchased.




Despite being on a diet and all, we went ahead and get 2 sets of such combo (there were 4 of us) and we got 2 games. Tiff and I each brought it home... hehehhee...

We were so ecstatic about it cause it just reminds us of when we were young when you get toys like that manufactured by Fisher-Pricce or Hasbro or something like that...

But lo and behold... it doesn't freaking work !!!! The water leaks !!!! IT LEAKS !!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT ?!?!?!?!

Tiff has threw away hers and I'm still wondering what to do with it... Grrr... what a disappointment !!!!

How suay can you be ?

Imagine, you're all demented and in a nursing home... and next thing you know, you saw this Garfield-lookalike cat (minus the color) and you thought... "awww... how cute is that ?" and the next thing you know, you're dead and soon to be 6 feet under.

How creepy is that ?!?!?! That a cat can be a messenger of Death.

NEW YORK (AFP) - He is a two-year-old cat and looks innocent enough. But at the nursing home where he lives in the US state of Rhode Island, Oscar has developed a reputation as an angel of death.

Since being adopted as a kitten by staff at the advanced dementia unit of Providence's Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Oscar has revealed a rather morbid tendency to pick which patient is going to die next.

According to David Dosa, a geriatrician at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Oscar makes regular rounds, looking in on patients and giving them a quick sniff, before either moving on or settling down for a cuddle.

So accurate have his predictions been, that as soon as the white and tabby harbinger of death curls up with one of the patients, staff immediately start summoning family and clergy to the soon-to-be deathbed.

"No one dies on the third floor unless Oscar pays a visit and stays awhile," Dosa wrote in the New England Journal of Medicine.

"His mere presence at the bedside is viewed by physicians and nursing home staff as an almost absolute indicator of impending death, allowing staff members to adequately notify families," he added.

"Thus far, he has presided over the deaths of more than 25 residents."

Dosa did not offer any explanation for Oscar's uncanny powers of prognostication, which patients were not yet believed to have spotted.

We got him a dog tag after he ran out of the house and got missing for like 30 minutes... nobody knows he went out and took a lift to the 2nd floor... so all of us were searching for him frantically and chanced upon the guard who told us that he's at the 2nd floor...

Apparently what happened was, a couple with a daughter saw him laying there on the ground... they thought he looks cute and wanted to carry him to the guard house and leave it there... but like a smart dog that he is, he growled fiercely and the couple don't dare to carry him but still informed the guards about it... sooo... yeah, we found him on the 2nd floor where he pounced into my arms...

I was very proud of him that he growled and didn't let strangers carry him... I mean how would you feel if you've brought this puppy up since he was like 1 month old and when a stranger tries to carry him, he just flock into their arms ? gutted, right ? I would feel absolutely gutted and prolly send him to SPCA or something... (just kidding !lol)... but on a serious note, I would be deeply gutted and going to put him through intensive owner-pet-friend training... like carrying him to work and hug him to sleep and forbade people saying hi to him etc kinda training :P

So yeah, I'm overly very proud of my dog ! :D
